Turn over and Distribution of Egg Machine Livelihood Projects

Last October 18, 2022 The Turn -Over and Distribution of Egg Machine Livelihood Projects in Mainland Municipalities was held at Provincial Convention Center, Capitol Compound, Surigao City.

Wherein 60 sets of Egg Machines and 3 units of Automatic Incubators were distributed to qualified recipient farmers in mainland LGUs of this province.

Each municipality and city of District II have recieved 5 sets of egg machines. Each set has 48 egg laying chickens and completely installed battery cages with paraphernalia, included also are 4 bags feeds ( 50 kilos/bag ) and package of multivitamins enough to supply for more than a month of production.

In addition to this, the LGUs of Surigao City, Alegria and Taganaan, also received 1 unit Automatic Incubator, each.

This livelihood project is under the Department of Agriculture headed by Regional Executive Director Engr. Ricardo M. Oñate, Jr. and was realized thru the effort and collaboration of the Provincial Government under the new administration of Governor Robert Lyndon S. Barbers.

This program aims to rehabilitate and recover the poultry sectors that was so much affected by Typhoon Odette. And also aim to address food security by increasing the local supply of eggs in this province.

In the coming weeks, we are set to hold the second batch of this program. More egg machines will be distributed and turned over to the rest of 9 municipalities in Siargao, Surigao del Norte.
