Surigao del Norte remains in the top 10 wealthiest province based on total assets amid the pandemic and other disastrous events. A test of time and governance since it was included in the top 10 from 2020 to present.
This is a good indicator to encourage the investors to invest in our locality since the local government showed due diligence in safeguarding our assets and practiced good fiscal administration, transparency, and accountability.
This is also a humbling experience for a small province located in a challenging geographical position and prone to typhoon and earthquake but able to secure its assets and maintain its national standing.
Now is the time to let go of our boundaries and division. 2022 is the most challenging year, all the collective efforts we have done in 2021 need to be doubled to maintain our lead and momentum. Let us support the local government units to find more investors in rehabilitating and restoring our one and only Surigao.
